Here's a really big tip: It's very important in our network marketing businesses that we keep it simple.
Now, I think people, almost certainly, get confused about this, and they misinterpret it as EASY. They want to make it, so, the message comes out into the network marketing world as “It's so easy, anyone can do it.”
The reality is, that's actually not the truth. We have to remember that people who come into network marketing, particularly at the start, are always working full-time and doing their network marketing business part-time. So, it’s important that the steps in your network marketing business are quite simple.
I have a little test. I ask myself this; if I'm setting up a new system or if I'm teaching someone to do something, is this so simple that a 10-year-old could do it? Is this so simple to explain that a 10-year-old could explain it? Because if it's not, the chances are that a mama who's overwhelmed, who has three kids at home, who's working full-time, isn't going to be able to duplicate and take the necessary action to make her business grow.
It's really important that we keep it simple but, at the same time, we don't want to be sending a message that network marketing is so easy that anyone could do it because the reality is, anything worthwhile takes a lot of work. It takes a lot of upskilling, it takes upleveling, and it takes consistency and persistence and resilience and grit. It is worthwhile, but none of that stuff is easy.
We have to be willing to work through our challenges, to see our obstacles, and to plow into them to overcome them and not run away at the first sign of what doesn't feel good for us.
What we can do in leading our teams and helping other people to have success is to keep everything as simple as possible. This will then, lead to success becoming a possibility for more people.
Remember, keep it simple, but it's never easy.
